Roller screw drives are a leading example of the move away from conventional linear drives and represent innovative and powerful electromechanical lifting and positioning systems.

ihb offers three main versions of planetary roller screw drives that do not require roller return:

• the traditional SR series with rollers synchronized to the nut, thanks to the identical thread pitch angle of the rollers and nut

• the HR high-performance roller screw drives with improved properties compared to the SR series

• the ISR inverted roller screw drives with rollers synchronized to the spindle, thanks to the identical thread pitch angle of the rollers and spindle

In addition, ihb can supply special versions of planetary roller screw drives:

•SRR roller screw drives with driven nuts

•Roller screw drives without thread pitch, which can be used advantageously instead of a conventional axial bearing solution when extreme axial load capacity, low weight, and compact design are required

A comprehensive range of roller screw drives with roller recirculation completes the range. Since the rollers have circumferential grooves, they must be guided back to their starting point on one side of the nut after each full revolution around the nut by means of the cams and axial groove in the nut.

Small spindle pitches are possible with a relatively large thread height. This feature offers the ideal combination of small pitch, high load capacity, high rigidity, and accuracy. Nevertheless, roller screw drives with roller recirculation have lower speed and acceleration capabilities than planetary roller screw drives.
