Plain bearings for food applications
Plain bearings for food applications
Alongside rolling bearings, plain bearings are the most commonly used bearing type in mechanical engineering and appliance construction.
In plain bearings, the two parts moving relative to each other are in direct contact. They slide against each other against the resistance caused by sliding friction.
The sliding resistance causes part of the kinetic energy to be converted into thermal energy, which flows into the bearing parts and may have to be dissipated.
In addition to the standard range, ihb also offers access to a wide range of plain bearings with approval in the food sector - it is best to provide us with your specifications
