Erosion resistance; a distinction must be made between:
-Erosion/corrosion, aqueous solution
-Erosion/corrosion, light chemical exposure
-Erosion/corrosion, elevated temperature 

Corrosion and chemical resistance; a distinction must be made between:
-Corrosion, moderate chemical exposure
-Corrosion, heavy chemical exposure, acid, inorganic
-Corrosion, heavy chemical exposure, acid, inorganic and bleaching chemicals
-Corrosion, heavy chemical exposure, alkalis,
-Corrosion, flue gases
-Drinking water, low flow
-Drinking water, high flow 

Abrasion resistance; distinctions must be made between:
-Light sliding friction
-Moderate sliding friction
-Heavy sliding friction
-Heavy sliding friction / strong chemicals
-Impact wear
