Depending on the application, specific packings are available for use with water, steam and chemicals.
Criteria for choosing the right packing are, for example, the maximum permissible pressure, the material properties, pH value, the operating temperature range and, of course, the range of external dimensions on offer.
Equally important is the general reliability, economical operation of the applications and the permissible or achievable emission values.
However, a distinction is also made as to whether the applications involve control valves, shut-off valves, motor-operated valves, pipe flanges, heat exchangers or simply housings.
