CHESTERTON® - 1600 - 5100 - 5150 - 5300 - compression molded graphite gasket ring

An engineered sealing system that maintains functionality and improves reliability - from shutdown to shutdown - while complying with environmental regulations.

SPECIFICATIONS:

Kit consisting of:
-Style 1600 end rings
-Style 5100 carbon bushing
-Style 5150 LiveLoading kits
-Style 5300 graphite rings 

Material:
5300 compression molded graphite sealing rings with 1600 Inconel® graphite packing with braided reinforcement, carbon bushing, Live-Loading spring sets. 

Pressure:
317 bar g 

Temperature limit:
-240°C (-450 °F)min. temp.
+430°C (+810 °F) in an oxidizing atmosphere
+2760°C (+5000 °F) in a non-oxidizing atmosphere 

Chemical resistance:
pH value: O to 14, except oleum, fuming nitric acid, aqua regia, fluorine, hydrochloric acid and fluoric acid 

APPLICATION:
Control valves, critical shut-off valves and air/motor operated valves in power plants, petrochemical, refineries, chemical and other industries.
-Improves the reliability of critical valves
-compensates for system pressure deviations, vibrations and temperature fluctuations
-prevents leakage through constant gland pressure
-improves MTBR
-reduces maintenance costs
-Lower spindle friction ensures functionality 

Note: Packings are generally not available due to the many different sizes.
