SKF linear bearings are supplied with factory lubrication as standard. This eliminates the need for initial lubrication by the customer, saving the user time and ensuring even more reliable operation thanks to the precisely calibrated grease filling.

They also reduce maintenance costs. SKF linear ball bearings and linear bearing units with shaft diameters from 6 mm are supplied with factory lubrication as standard.

LUBRICANT

Thanks to the integrated grease reservoir and SKF double lip seals (2LS), relubrication is not necessary in most applications, as the theoretical relubrication interval exceeds the bearing service life. The linear bearings are initially lubricated with SKF high-performance grease LGEP2.

SEAL

Double lip seals ensure maintenance-free operation of pre-lubricated bearings used under standard conditions. The integrated seal has been specially developed for linear bearings. The sealing lips are in contact with the shaft and ensure extremely efficient sealing even with the angle-adjustable linear bearings of the LBC series. The seals have been optimized for low-friction operation.

This includes SKF linear ball bearings, linear plain bearings, and accessories that can be used to design simple and economical linear guidance systems for a wide range of applications. For applications where these bearings and bearing units are not suitable, e.g. due to the loads involved, other linear guidance products and systems from SKF are available.

Linear ball bearings and units of the ISO Series 1

Linear ball bearings of the LBBR series feature compact dimensions and are easy to install. The bearings are available in standard and corrosion-resistant versions and can be supplied with or without seals. The linear ball bearing units in this series, consisting of a bearing and housing, are available in single or tandem versions. Tandem units include duo and quadro versions.

Linear ball bearings and units of the ISO Series 3

The SKF linear ball bearings of the ISO Series 3 include the cylindrical LBCR and LBC bearings, the angular contact LBCD and LBCF bearings, and the linear ball bearings of the LBHT series, which have a particularly high load carrying capacity. All these bearings are available in standard and corrosion-resistant versions and, thanks to their integrated double lip seal, enable maintenance-free operation under standard conditions. All previous SKF linear ball bearings in the standard Series 3 can be replaced with these linear ball bearings. Most linear bearing units in the ISO Series 3 are equipped as standard with angular contact linear ball bearings to compensate for misalignment. Other designs are also available. These are listed in the corresponding tables.

Linear plain bearings and units of the ISO Series 3

LPAR and LPAT linear plain bearings belong to the ISO Series 3.
