The SKF range of Food-Line rod ends comprises three series. The characteristic feature of the SRIKB and SRAKB rod ends is the rod end made of stainless steel and the rod end of the SFIK series lightweight rod ends is made of composite material. All rod ends are equipped with a stainless steel inner ring and a sliding layer made of glass fiber-reinforced polyamide containing PTFE.

The spherical sliding surface of the inner rings made of stainless steel
(X105CrMo17 up to EN 10088-1:1995 or AISI 440 C) is ground and polished.
The GRP+PTFE sliding material is injection-molded between the inner ring and the rod end eye.
