Greaseguns

A grease gun is a grease gun... and that's it! ......

well, not quite; because especially where precise relubrication quantities/intervals are required, it is really advisable to take a close look at the performance parameters of the grease gun of your choice, otherwise they can easily become a stumbling block...

We compared three different types of 400 g grease guns:

-SKF LAGH 400 single-action grease gun; 300 bar, 0.8 cc/stroke,

-MURALT AX-III hand lever grease gun; 400 bar, 1.4 cc/stroke, up to NLGI 2

-SKF 1077600 H hand lever grease gun; 400 bar, 1.5 cc/stroke,

-Perma 101455 hand lever grease gun; 400 bar, 1.9 cc/stroke, up to NLGI 3

These four top-selling grease guns alone are clearly different from each other; in addition to their performance parameters, not least when it comes to their operation, specific accessories, spare parts, or connecting parts, etc.

With grease guns, however, the delivery quantity is always specified in ccm, which means that if you want to be precise, you must know the “specific weight of the lubricant to be processed” (usually specified in kg/m3).

The maximum NLGI class to be processed must also be observed, as otherwise the grease gun may reach its limit.

People often underestimate the force or pressure that can be applied with a grease gun. If you are not lubricating directly but via a lubrication line, the maximum pressure of the individual line components must be known, otherwise it is easily possible that (invisible?) lines inside the machine burst and you will have no grease at the corresponding lubrication point, or consequently grease where it does not belong ...

Just ask us, we have a wide range of options to quickly deliver the configuration you need.
